Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 for the Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later on she discovered her when she was six. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she won the title of champion. At her first international competition in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female to ever successfully complete a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey to the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. With her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the entertainment business in her teens. When she was a child she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating performed by actors.
