Jenna Fischer has become best recognized for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. In the course of playing this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and also an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was inspired by her mom's worship services at the time she started her journey.
She's a trained actress who returned to the stage after The Office. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. Her role was later reprised at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has proven to be an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first novel, and details the journey she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actress professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, and her experience in The Office.
